China urges Japan to destroy toxic wartime leftovers

China says Japan must fulfill its obligations to destroy chemical weapons abandoned in China during its invasion. On Monday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning commented on a visit by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), along with permanent representatives from 12 countries. The delegation was in China from August 31 to September 5 to inspect the destruction facilities.
