The education minister said 24 schools have been "burned or ransacked," while more than 5,000 people have been arrested since the movement began. The protests spread from Paris to cities including Lille, Montpellier, Nantes and Marseille, driven by concerns over teacher shortages, overcrowded classrooms and deteriorating school buildings. Organisers of the protests have called for the demonstrations to continue on Tuesday after accusing the government of a lack of "concrete measures", according to AFP. #CGTN #protest #France #education #FrontlineStory
