Strategic Analysis Australia Director Michael Shoebridge says China’s missile launch was a deliberate move to “make a point” during the security agreement signing between Australia and Fiji. “If anyone before this missile test was in any doubt about China’s aggression and growing military reach, Beijing told us, well, we’re here, we’re aggressive, and we’re in your backyard,” Ms Shoebridge told Sky News host Jaimee Rogers. “About the same time as the security agreement between Fiji and Australia is being signed, they do this intercontinental nuclear-capable missile test right into the South Pacific, obviously to make a point. “Their military reach and power is growing, and they are aggressive.”
