What if the electronic shelf label you see at the grocery store isn't just showing you the price of the jar of mayonnaise you're about to buy — but actually raising the price because you put a can of tuna in your cart. It's called surveillance pricing and retailers like Walmart appear to be locking down technology that will help them figure out how much they can charge you.
