$700 Cash Grants Transform Lives in Malawi

The nonprofit GiveDirectly, with a large backing from Canva, is providing eligible adults in two Malawi districts with about $700 each, roughly equivalent to the country’s annual income per person, with virtually no restrictions on how the money is spent.
