The Met Police ‘failed our brother’ in ‘Putney pusher’ case | BBC Radio 4 Today

The sisters of Nicholas Brandram, who was accused of being the ‘Putney pusher’ and who took his own life, say the Metropolitan Police were ’negligent’ and ‘reckless’. Speaking to the Today programme, Sophie Voelcker and Alexia Hicks - who maintain their brother’s innocence - say his mental health ‘deteriorated’ after information about him after his arrest was leaked online. The force has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct - as it has to where a person dies after contact with police.
