Zelenskyy and Trump discuss Patriot missile production amid Russian strikes

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says US President Donald Trump has agreed to give Ukraine licences for the domestic production of Patriot missiles. Washington has not confirmed the deal. Ukraine has long sought Patriot systems to strengthen its air defences against Russian drone and ballistic missile attacks. Zelenskyy later visited the US Congress, where senators overwhelmingly voted to advance a sweeping bill of tougher sanctions against Russia. Ukrainian authorities say Russia has attacked a civilian cargo vessel off the Black Sea port of Odesa. Moscow says the ship was carrying military equipment. Smoke was seen rising from the Liberian-flagged ship after the strike. Officials say the vessel had been unloaded, and no crew members were on board at the time.
