Ukrainian engineers are working urgently to repair power infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes ahead of the winter season. While US President Donald Trump claimed a deal had been reached to stop attacks on energy facilities, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said only a US proposal for de-escalation is currently on the table. Ukraine’s largest private power company, to prepare for renewed mass attacks. CEO Maxim Timchenko says the company is drawing on lessons from the previous winter’s energy crisis, but Ukraine remains vulnerable to ballistic missile attacks.
