Thousands of people have rallied in cities across the US, calling on voters to cast their ballots early in the midterm elections. The events are organised by the “No Kings” network, which opposes the Trump administration. The movement began as a protest, but as the midterm elections loom, it has become a voter education programme, with many rally attendees saying the midterms are crucial. “No Kings” has also shifted from organising mass protests to a series of smaller ones across the country. That means people do not have to travel and can walk out of their front doors to help mobilise the vote. Al Jazeera’s Mike Hanna reports from a rally in Washington, DC.
