Russia election results show Putin’s party winning: What we know

United Russia, the party backed by President Vladimir Putin, is leading the parliamentary election count. It has won more than 57% of the vote, with more than 95% of the ballots counted. The party is set to control nearly 80 percent of the 450-seat parliament - which is an all-time high.
