Al Jazeera English3 hours ago3:27

At least nine police officers have been killed and 28 injured in an attack at a security checkpoint in western Pakistan. It happened in Hangu district, southwest of Peshawar. No group has claimed responsibility, but police are blaming Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) — the Pakistani Taliban. The region bordering Afghanistan has seen an increase in violence in recent months. Islamabad accuses its neighbour of allowing armed groups to operate from its territory, allegations Kabul has denied. Al Jazeera’s Kamal Hyder reports from Islamabad, Pakistan.
