Kenya has confirmed its first case of Ebola after a Kenyan citizen who had been living in the Democratic Republic of Congo died in Nairobi. The patient fell ill in the DRC last month and travelled by road to Kampala, Uganda, before flying to Nairobi, where he was taken to hospital and isolated after showing symptoms. Health authorities have identified 28 contacts, including family members and healthcare workers, and are tracing a further 23 passengers and four crew members who were on the same flight. The case has raised questions about how the patient passed health screening while travelling through Uganda and Kenya. Officials say medication may have masked some of his symptoms during screening. Kenya's Health Ministry says the country has the capacity to contain the outbreak and is monitoring those who may have been exposed. Al Jazeera's Catherine Soi reports from Nairobi.
