Israeli bulldozers have flattened the Palestinian village of Khirbet Al Tabban in Masafer Yatta, in the southern occupied West Bank. Not a single home was left standing, and livestock barns and water tanks were destroyed as well. The village was home to 12 families, more than 70 people, most of whom were born there. After the demolition, residents combed through the ruins for whatever belongings they could salvage before searching for somewhere to sleep. Soad Obaid, a Palestinian grandmother, said her husband's blacksmith workshop was destroyed along with the equipment inside, and that her family sheltered there overnight, though the children, frightened by snakes, refused to sleep and stayed awake until morning.
