Israel’s revocation of Dutch diplomats’ status largely ‘symbolic’, analyst says

Israel says it's revoked the status of Dutch diplomats in Ramallah. Israel's foreign ministry says their diplomatic status will expire in seven days. It's in response to a Dutch ban on imports of goods from illegal Israeli settlements in the Occupied West Bank. Israel says, if the Netherlands wishes to continue representing the interests of Palestinians, it may do so from Palestinian Authority territory. Carne Ross is a former senior British diplomat, and founder of the non-profit advisory group Independent Diplomat. He says the move is another example of Israel's growing global isolation.
