Iran seeks ICC probe into deadly US strike on wedding in Sirik

Iran's Red Crescent has asked the International Criminal Court to investigate a strike on a wedding party in the Sirik region of southern Iran, saying it could amount to a war crime. The attack on Tuesday killed five people and injured dozens more, and took place during a wave of US air strikes targeting sites across Iran. The strike hit a house hosting a wedding in Kuhestak village, near a telecommunications tower also bombed that day. Hormozgan's chief justice, Mojtaba Ghahramani, said fragments recovered from the site link the US military to the attack, and that five people were killed, including three women and a four-year-old child, with 72 others wounded. Iranian authorities say the gathering was deliberately targeted; the US has not accepted responsibility. Vice President JD Vance says Washington is investigating the strike.
