Families in Gaza continue searching for children and relatives who have disappeared, with many left without answers about what happened to their loved ones. Nine-year-old Jalal has been missing for around three months, while Obaida, who was 15 when he disappeared at an aid distribution site, has been missing for more than a year. Families have contacted the International Committee of the Red Cross and other international groups for information, but say they have received contradictory accounts. The ICRC meets families every week, helping them search for information and clarify the fate of missing people. After years of war, tracing people is difficult. Records may have been destroyed, information is fragmented and families are often left with little more than a last known location. Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud reports from Gaza City.
