In El-Obeid, the Sudanese city that survives one of the war’s longest ground sieges now faces a new strain as thousands arrive fleeing fresh fighting. Families report attacks by the Rapid Support Forces on villages across southern and western North Kordofan. More than 5,000 families reach the city in just one week, and this centre alone hosts over 8,500 families in tents, schools and public buildings, most of them women and children. Al Jazeera's Al-Migdad Al-Ruhaid reports from El-Obeid.
