Ecuador fishermen caught between US drug war and criminal groups

Ecuadorian fishing communities say they are increasingly caught between drug-trafficking gangs and expanding US military operations along the Pacific coast. Families of missing crew members, including that of the Fiorella vessel, say they have received no answers eight months after their relatives disappeared near the Galapagos Islands. Others describe drone attacks, detentions and transfers abroad without due process.
