Driest July on Record: English Farmers Count the Cost

Drought now grips Wales and half of England, leaving much of the country painfully dry. In East Sussex, sweet corn burns to a crisp and wheat is harvested a month early. England records its driest July ever, with just 7% of normal rainfall and 78% of rivers below typical levels.
