Burnham, Macron talk border security and stronger Europe-UK ties

French President Emmanuel Macron met UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham at Downing Street, in his first such visit since Burnham took office in July. The talks covered migration, defence, energy and Ukraine, with both leaders hailing improved Channel cooperation that has reduced migrant crossings this year. The visit coincided with the Bayeux Tapestry's loan to the British Museum, its first departure from France in nearly 1,000 years. Yet tensions persist, including France's block on British firms accessing an EU defence fund and opposition to a UK steel tariff exemption. Al Jazeera’s Rory Challands reports from Westminster.
