Another user drew parallels to the Abu Ghraib scandal, asserting, "IDF revel in depravity and no one is holding Israel to account."
This incident occurs amidst reports of Israeli soldiers widely sharing footage from Gaza that some experts suggest could constitute war crimes, including videos of soldiers celebrating the destruction of civilian buildings and posing with looted items. The Israeli army issued a statement confirming they had "identified the incident" and launched a command investigation, adding that "those involved will be dealt with in accordance with the findings that emerge." However, a report from last year indicated that nearly 90 percent of Israeli military investigations into alleged soldier abuse since October 2023 had been closed or yielded no findings.
