The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the incident as a "provocative escalation and an unacceptable extremist act." Ben-Gvir was among hundreds of settlers who entered the mosque complex on Monday, and also participated in a similar incursion at the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron on Tuesday.
