Two members of Iran's Revolutionary Guards were killed and two others wounded in a shooting incident in the western province of Kermanshah. The attackers opened fire outside the victims' homes. A newly formed Kurdish group, 'Xori Hiwa' (Sun of Hope), claimed responsibility, accusing the Guards of involvement in suppressing protests during the 'Women, Life, Freedom' movement. The killed Guards members were identified as Khaled Khaledinia and Burhan Karisani, members of the IRGC's Basij militia.
Separately, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced it had killed six members of a separatist cell attempting to enter the country's northwest to carry out acts of sabotage and terrorism. The IRGC stated the operation occurred after learning the group had entered Iran's northwestern border areas.
