Trump praises Netanyahu as 'great wartime prime minister'

He indicated an intention to remove Syria from the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism, citing positive developments and al-Sharaa's leadership. The two also discussed Syria's potential role in regional security, including addressing Hezbollah's activities in Lebanon.

Trump also defended his relationship with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, noting Turkey's importance as a NATO ally and stating that Erdogan had not taken action against Israel. When asked about Netanyahu's potential re-election, Trump declined to comment on Israeli domestic politics but suggested the prime minister should be popular due to his performance.
