A British teenager, Nathan Dunn, 19, has pleaded guilty to an arson attack targeting offices linked to the television station Iran International in northwest London. The incident occurred in April when an ignited container was thrown towards premises belonging to Volant Media, the parent company of the broadcaster. The device landed in a car park and extinguished itself, resulting in no damage or injuries.
Dunn had initially been charged alongside 21-year-old Oisin McGuinness and a 16-year-old boy. McGuinness also faces a charge of dangerous driving. The three British nationals appeared in court, with the 16-year-old remanded to local authority care and McGuinness and Dunn ordered to appear in custody at the Old Bailey.
Iran International, known for its critical stance on Iran's government, reported that a suspicious vehicle was denied entry shortly before the incendiary device was thrown. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the charges against the three individuals.
