The General Directorate of Saudi Civil Defence announced on September 18, 2026, that the danger alert previously issued for the Farasan governorate has passed. Similar alerts that had been issued for the Jazan region, the city of Abha, and the governorates of Khamis Mushait, Jeddah, Taif, and Yanbu were also withdrawn earlier.
