Saudi Arabia: Danger has passed in Yanbu after Iran missile strike

The directorate advised the public to continue following Civil Defense instructions, avoid gathering, and refrain from filming. This announcement comes after Iran reportedly targeted an American military base in Saudi Arabia with a ballistic missile, according to a US official. The Saudi authorities had previously issued warnings for both Al-Kharj and Yanbu, urging residents to remain calm, follow official instructions, and move to the nearest safe place inside a building, away from windows, until the all-clear was given. Motorists were advised to pull over safely if they received the alert while driving. The Civil Defense stressed the importance of obtaining information only from official sources and not being swayed by rumors. The situation has returned to normal after ensuring stability, with relevant authorities monitoring the situation around the clock and conducting comprehensive assessments. Yemen's Houthis claimed on Telegram that a "Yemeni missile strike" had sparked fires in the southern Saudi city of Jizan on the Red Sea. The Civil Defense warnings came after the Saudi-led coalition said Friday it had hit Houthi sites and destroyed targets threatening commercial vessels in response to attacks on Red Sea shipping.
