Ripple has secured a full Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) license in Luxembourg, granted by the country's financial regulator under the European Union's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework. This authorization, following a preliminary approval in June, allows Ripple to offer regulated crypto-asset services throughout the European Economic Area (EEA) and positions it among a limited number of digital asset firms fully compliant with MiCA. Cassie Craddock, Ripple's managing director for the UK and Europe, stated that the company is now fully compliant and ready to scale in the post-MiCA era. The approval enhances Ripple's existing regulatory standing, which includes an Electronic Money Institution license in Luxembourg and over 75 licenses globally. The MiCA framework became fully effective on July 1, requiring crypto companies to obtain authorization or cease operations in the bloc, with unauthorized firms facing penalties.
