President Lee Jae Myung plans to invite all lawmakers of the ruling Democratic Party (DP) for a luncheon next week, his office announced Saturday. The president will host the lawmakers at Cheong Wa Dae in Seoul next Friday, shortly before the regular parliamentary session commences next month. According to Kang Yu-jung, senior presidential spokesperson, the luncheon is linked to the party's workshop schedule, suggesting full attendance from the lawmakers. A ruling party official noted that the party plans to hold a two-day workshop starting Thursday to prepare for the upcoming session. This initiative mirrors a similar luncheon hosted by President Lee for DP lawmakers in August of the previous year, also during their party workshop, in an apparent effort to bolster unity between the government and the ruling party.
