A Palestinian engineer, Hudaifa Hamdi Mamar, was killed in an Israeli shelling attack on residential areas in the Al Mawasi district, west of Khan Younis in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Dialogue Forum (PALDF), as reported by Al Jazeera. The incident occurred amid continued Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip.
Separately, Palestinian medical sources and emergency workers reported that two Palestinians were killed on Thursday in separate Israeli strikes. One person was killed and several others wounded in an Israeli drone strike near the Palestinian Red Crescent Society building in the Al-Amal neighborhood west of Khan Younis. In Gaza City, Israeli forces bombed a vehicle in the Sheikh Ajleen neighborhood southwest of the city, killing one Palestinian and injuring several others.
Earlier on Thursday, an Israeli strike killed a family of four, including two children aged eight and 12, according to Palestinian hospital and security sources.
These strikes come despite a ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. Since the ceasefire began, Gaza's local health authority reported that at least 1,260 Palestinians have been killed and more than 4,150 wounded, with 808 bodies recovered. In July alone, Israeli forces killed approximately 160 Palestinians in Gaza.
