Palestinian-American journalist Naqaa Hamed was released from Damon Prison after 13 days, following an Israeli court decision. Hamed was arrested on September 15 at the Tuqu checkpoint while returning from an assignment. She was separated from her camera crew and taken to an unknown location for questioning. Israeli media reported at the time that Hamed was arrested on suspicion of "cooperating with an enemy entity" and possible espionage. She previously served as a correspondent for Iran’s Press TV in the occupied West Bank. According to the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, 36 Palestinian journalists, including four women, remain detained in Israeli jails.
