Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail stated that 2,097 Malaysian police officers and personnel were arrested for drug-related offenses, robbery, and corruption between 2021 and August of this year. The arrests were detailed in a written parliamentary reply to Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng. Of the total number of arrests, 1,551 were for drug offenses, 64 for robbery, and 482 were made by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
