Nvidia is set to open a new AI hub in Stockholm in 2027, in collaboration with the Swedish non-profit foundation Norrsken. The initiative aims to support start-ups focused on addressing health and climate challenges through artificial intelligence. The hub, named Stockholm AI Lab, will bring together selected Swedish start-ups and Nvidia staff, and will also feature a biotechnology demonstration lab. Nvidia will provide computing infrastructure, software tools, and access to its global start-up network. The Norrsken foundation, established by Klarna co-founder Niklas Adalberth, supports start-ups working on social and environmental issues. The hub will offer private offices and host events to connect founders with investors, researchers, and policymakers. Root Bio, a Stockholm-based start-up specializing in AI for biological applications, will operate the demonstration lab with Nvidia, showcasing how AI can automate biological discovery. Nvidia has been expanding its AI initiatives across Europe, with similar projects announced in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Finland.
