Musician Neil Young has filed a second lawsuit against Donald Trump's political action committee, Trump 47 Committee Inc., seeking $10 million for alleged copyright infringement of his song "Rockin' in the Free World." The suit, filed on Monday in the US district court for the eastern district of Virginia, claims the song was used as walk-up music at recent midterm election rallies, despite a previous settlement in 2020 where Trump's organization agreed not to use the song without Young's permission. Young argues that the continued use of the song, which he describes as a "blistering anthem" diametrically opposed to Trump's values, has damaged his reputation and brand.
