The drugs, declared as vape products in the aircraft's cargo manifest, were believed to have been loaded in Laos and were destined for Manila, Philippines. Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated on Tuesday, October 6, that the drugs did not originate from Malaysia. The private jet, belonging to a Malaysian-operated aviation company, had initially departed Subang Airport without cargo before flying to Laos. Investigations are ongoing into the aviation company's operations to determine if it was knowingly used for drug trafficking.
