An Israeli air strike targeting al-Khiam in southern Lebanon overnight resulted in a complete power outage in the Nabaa el-Hamas area due to damaged power supply lines, according to Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA).
Earlier, a large explosion in al-Khiam, located in the Nabatieh Governorate, was reported by NNA to have sent shockwaves throughout the south.
On Tuesday, Israeli artillery shelling targeted the southern Lebanese towns of Al-Mansouri and Baraachit. NNA also reported that Israeli forces advanced toward Al-Mansouri with military vehicles and bulldozers, booby-trapped several houses, and detonated them amidst shelling on the town's outskirts.
Lebanon's Electricity Authority confirmed that an Israeli attack rendered a main substation in the south inoperable.
