Israeli forces have killed at least two Palestinians in separate incidents in East Jerusalem and southern Gaza. Early Friday, Israeli police shot dead a Palestinian youth near Damascus Gate in occupied East Jerusalem, leading to increased security presence and restrictions on movement. In southern Gaza, Israeli troops opened fire on Palestinians north of Khan Younis, resulting in one death and three injuries.
Separately, Israeli authorities reported that six people were killed in a shooting attack at Ramot Junction in occupied East Jerusalem on Monday morning. At least 12 others were injured, with six in serious condition. Israeli police are investigating the incident as a suspected terror attack, stating the perpetrators arrived in a vehicle and opened fire at a bus station. A security officer and a civilian reportedly shot and killed the attackers. Following this incident, Israeli forces closed checkpoints between East Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank and imposed a military cordon on several villages in the Jerusalem governorate, conducting raids and searching for alleged accomplices. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that forces were pursuing the villages from which the attackers originated. The Palestinian Authority reiterated its condemnation of any attacks on civilians.
