Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that implementing a ceasefire agreement with the United States is a difficult but achievable goal. Ghalibaf made these remarks while speaking with Muhammad Ismail Darwish, the head of Hamas's political bureau, who was in Tehran for the funeral of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. During their meeting, Ghalibaf reiterated Iran's stance of not having peace with America and not recognizing Israel, reaffirming support for the 'resistance front,' a term for regional armed groups it backs. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of mourners packed the streets of Tehran for Khamenei's funeral procession, with many vowing revenge against the U.S. and Israel. Khamenei's son and successor, Mojtaba, has not yet made a public appearance, and former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was also present.
