The estate, which Newsom and his family have occupied since 2019, features seven bedrooms, 12 bathrooms, and sits on 8.2 acres of land. Amenities include a full-size tennis court, a 5,000-bottle wine cellar, a pool, a cold plunge, and a hot tub.
Newsom, who was elected governor in 2018, is reportedly considering a run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2028. The governor and his family have also maintained a presence in Marin County, where they own property and where his children attend school. The Fair Oaks property has previously been the site of a protest in 2020 and hosted a political fundraiser in 2024 for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz.
