US Congressman Ro Khanna detained by settlers in West Bank

Israeli police arrested four settlers for allegedly attacking a CNN news crew and damaging their vehicle in the occupied West Bank village of Sinjil. The settlers reportedly blocked the journalists' car and used weapons including rods, stones, and a knife. The incident occurred on the one-year anniversary of the killing of Saif Musallet, a Palestinian-American killed by settlers in July 2025. His father had previously stated that no suspects had been arrested for his son's death. The attack follows reports of increased settler violence in the West Bank. Separately, US Representative Ro Khanna reported being detained by armed Israeli settlers during a visit to the West Bank, stating Israeli forces sided with the settlers.
