Elon Musk and his political action committee, America PAC, have reached an agreement to settle two proposed class-action lawsuits. The suits alleged that Musk defrauded residents in closely contested states before the 2024 US election by promising a daily $1 million giveaway. Plaintiffs, who are Arizona residents, claimed they were misled into signing petitions to support the US Constitution with the promise of being randomly selected to receive the prize money. Musk and America PAC denied the allegations. A federal judge had previously ordered Musk to testify in the cases. The settlements are pending court approval, and the terms have not been disclosed.
