A drone strike on a minibus in Kherson's Korabelnyi district on August 19 killed four people and injured four others, who were hospitalized. Governor Oleksandr Prokudin stated that nine other people were injured in Kherson Oblast from previous day's attacks, which targeted critical infrastructure and residential areas, damaging buildings, a restaurant, and cars.
President Volodymyr Zelensky described the attacks as a "vicious Russian 'safari'" and criticized the hesitation of partners in supplying defense equipment, stating that Russians "have long run wild." He highlighted these as the realities of everyday life in Ukraine's frontline regions.
Overnight on August 19, Russia launched two Iskander-M ballistic missiles and 65 drones. Ukraine's Air Force reported downing 56 drones and two loitering munitions. Strikes were reported in 10 locations, with debris falling in three others.
