K-pop superband BTS has achieved a new milestone, becoming the first group in the world to accumulate 10 billion streams on Spotify in a single year, according to their label BigHit Music. While solo artists like Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Bad Bunny have previously reached this figure, it marks a first for a group. BTS's streams more than doubled from 4.5 billion last year, largely propelled by their fifth studio album, "Arirang," released in March. The album alone has garnered over 5 billion streams since its release, making it the most-streamed album on Spotify this year. "Arirang" is the group's first full-group project in nearly four years, following the members' completion of mandatory military service. The album also topped the Billboard 200 for three consecutive weeks, a feat not achieved by a group since Mumford & Sons' "Babel" in 2012.
