Compass International Holdings Reports Record Revenue, Stronger Profits Post-Anywhere Acquisition

Compass International Holdings has reported record-breaking revenue for the second quarter of 2026, reaching $4.3 billion. This figure represents more than double the revenue from the previous year, a substantial increase attributed largely to the company's acquisition of Anywhere Real Estate. Alongside the record revenue, Compass International Holdings also announced a significant rise in net income, which totaled $92 million. The company achieved positive free cash flow and has outlined plans to strengthen its balance sheet by reducing its debt.

In a separate development within the housing market, M/I Homes is pursuing a distinct strategy by continuing to build a high percentage of homes on speculation, commonly known as spec homes. This approach is being maintained even as other homebuilders are reportedly scaling back their operations due to a market slowdown. M/I Homes reported a record second quarter for sales, with a notable 78% of all orders being for spec homes. The company has been utilizing incentives, such as mortgage rate buydowns, to drive these sales.
