Spain's final 12-month EU-harmonised inflation rate stood at 3.6% in June, matching the rate recorded for May, according to final data released by the National Statistics Institute (INE). This figure aligned with both the initial flash estimate and the average forecast from Reuters-polled analysts.
The INE also reported that core inflation, which excludes volatile fresh food and energy prices, saw a slight decrease to 2.9% in the 12 months through June, down from 3% in the preceding month. Spanish national consumer prices, measured separately, remained unchanged at a 3.2% annual increase in June, consistent with the preliminary reading.
