Emergency response measures are currently active as the heavy downpours persist. In a separate incident along the west coast in Taean, the South Korean Coast Guard apprehended 31 Chinese nationals for illegally entering the country. These individuals reportedly entered over an eight-year span. A significant number of those apprehended had previously worked in South Korea and were subsequently deported for overstaying their visas. They are now facing apprehension for their illegal re-entry.
