Lebanese PM condemns Israeli attack as 'blatant violation' of ceasefire

Lebanon's Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has strongly condemned recent Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon, characterizing them as a "blatant violation of the ceasefire." Salam accused Israel of breaching Lebanese sovereignty and international law. The Israeli military stated that its strikes targeted Hezbollah positions. These strikes occurred shortly after expulsion orders were issued and impacted several towns in southern Lebanon, resulting in at least one injury.

In a separate incident in the West Bank, an Israeli settler allegedly attempted to run over a Palestinian individual and set fire to olive trees in the village of Al-Minya, located southeast of Bethlehem. This event is part of a broader trend of increased settler attacks targeting Palestinian olive groves. Reports indicate that thousands of olive trees have been vandalized during the current harvest season, highlighting a persistent issue of settler violence in the region.
