Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed responsibility for launching drone and missile attacks on American military bases in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. Blasts were reportedly heard in Jordan and Bahrain, and flight services in Jordan were suspended following the alleged attacks. The IRGC stated that its largest attack targeted the headquarters of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain around 2:30 AM local time. Media reports suggest that US military positions in Jordan were also targeted. Jordan's military announced that it successfully intercepted five missiles heading towards the Al-Azraq area, with some debris falling on Jordanian territory but no reported injuries or property damage. Kuwaiti military officials confirmed their air defence systems were intercepting incoming aerial threats. While Iranian media reported that at least one missile struck a US military site in Bahrain, US officials have not yet confirmed any major damage or casualties. The IRGC claimed a total of 21 American air and naval bases across the region were targeted and warned of a stronger response if the United States conducts further attacks. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged the United States to leave the Gulf region.
