Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR) has successfully employed its newly developed Magura naval platforms to launch FPV drones against Russian radar systems in occupied Crimea for the first time. The operation, carried out by HUR's Group 13 special unit in late July, targeted a command vehicle associated with a Podlet radar system and a Parol-4 identification friend-or-foe radar interrogator.
HUR stated that this development signifies a new dimension in the conflict, allowing their Magura platforms to threaten Russian ground targets in Crimea. The agency also highlighted Group 13's previous successes, reporting the destruction of nine Russian vessels and damage to five others, along with multiple aircraft.
Separately, overnight on August 3, multiple explosions and fires were reported across occupied Crimea. Local residents reported incidents in Kerch, leading to the closure of the Crimean Bridge. An electrical substation in Kerch was reportedly hit, and a fire broke out near a worker camp associated with the Crimean Bridge construction. Other reported targets included an oil depot in Feodosia and Kerch's central market. Ukraine's General Staff later confirmed strikes on several Russian military logistics sites, including a warehouse and repair base near Nove Zhyttia used for storing weapons and repairing equipment, as well as logistics warehouses and a communications hub.
