Ukraine's General Staff has withheld its own casualty figures, citing operational security. The CSIS report further estimated that Ukraine likely suffered between 500,000 and 600,000 casualties between February 2022 and December 2025, with 100,000 to 140,000 of those believed to be killed in action.
